Lucky for us, it was a short mourning period because the iconic off-roader is back for the 2024 model year, and it’s better than ever. The 2024 LC has a more accessible price tag, modern technology, and a virile hybrid engine.
Interior Review of the 2024 Land Cruiser
This iteration of the Land Cruiser has been shrunk down to a mid-size SUV with two rows and seating for up to five passengers that fits in the Toyota lineup between the 2024 bZ4X and the 2024 RAV4. Fans of the old-school Land Cruiser don’t need to fret over its modernization though. The legendary SUV pays homage to its roots with heritage-inspired styling and capabilities. The 2024 Land Cruiser has three available trim options: Land Cruiser 1958, Land Cruiser, and the Land Cruiser First Edition. The interior of the Land Cruiser 1958 trim is the back-to-basics model that pays homage to the original FJ25 with fabric upholstery, the Land Cruiser trim features leather-trimmed seats, and with the Premium Package, the entire interior can be had with warm and welcoming Java leather. The standard Cold Weather Package keeps your ride warm with heated front seats, steering wheel, and heated side mirrors.
As far as space goes, adults will feel comfortable seated anywhere in the cabin with plenty of head and legroom in both rows. When it’s time to hit the trails for a weekend camping trip the cargo area has 37.5 cubic feet of available cargo space.

Like the interior, the outer styling of the 2024 Land Cruiser is inspired by the vehicle's roots. The Land Cruiser 1958 features round headlights and a boxy body, while the Land Cruiser model features rectangular headlights that pay homage to the FJ62. The Land Cruiser trim also has dual-hue LED fog lights that allow drivers to switch between vivid white lights or warm yellow lights for the best visibility. All three trim levels are sporting a Toyota heritage front grill, square mirrors, and athletic fender flares. The rugged design is available in seven exterior paint options that include but aren’t limited to:

Power and Performance in the 2024 Land Cruiser
The Land Cruiser is powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that generates a combined 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Whether you’re using all that power on the highway or on trekking through the wilderness, you’ll appreciate the standard full-time all-wheel drive, which provides power to the front and rear axles for optimal stability and control across various terrains. The two-speed transfer case allows you to select the amount of torque you need for your adventure. In addition, there are three available drive modes – Sport Mode, Eco Mode, and Normal Mode. If you’re planning on towing your favorite outdoor toys for your weekend adventures, you’ll be glad to know about the Land Cruiser’s 6,000-pound towing capacity.
