2025 Toyota bZ4X Power and Performance
There are two powertrain options available for the 2025 Toyota bZ4X. A single electric motor delivers 196 lb-ft of torque and 201 horsepower in front-wheel-drive models. Meanwhile, two electric motors at each axle provide 248 lb-ft of torque and 214 horsepower on all-wheel-drive models. All versions have direct-drive transmissions. The standard drivetrain is front-wheel, but all-wheel drive is also available.
There are two regenerative braking levels to choose from. During deceleration, drivers can activate the system using a control button.
To support its frame and motor layout, the bZ4X rides on the e-TNGA platform. All trims have a heat pump system to manage the cabin's temperature, and the vehicle delivers torque immediately as you step on the accelerator.
There is an option for all-wheel drive with X-MODE as a performance upgrade. This system changes how brakes and power are used to help manage traction. All-wheel drive is standard on the Nightshade trim.
